Today, I introduce my map about local cuisine of Kumamoto.First, I like something food of Kumamoto. Ikinari-dango, Basashi(raw horse meat), Musyagaeshi, Karashi-renkon, Taipinyan, Suika...ect. Especially that I talk about Suika in Ueki.
I live in Ueki in Kumamoto now. Suika is a local specialty of Ueki. Suika is water melon. It is very sweet and fresh. Water melon is an enjoyment particular to the summer season. My family likes water melon very much. Of course, I like water melon very much.
Suika is a green, black stripes are the way, but It's contents are red. The water melon is greenhouse vegetables. I have grown the water melon when I'm a junior high school student. It was very difficult for me to raise water melon, but we tried very hard to raise water melon importantly. Result, A very delicious watermelon was able to be made up. I gave my family to raise water melon. My family was joyful. I looked at them very happy too.
The flesh is juicy 90% or more. The flesh is bright red, and is sweet and, in general, multi soup though there are various kinds. Fruits are sliced to the fragment completely, and it eats the salt by the favor sprinkling a small amount. A hard outside film is taken, and the skin is made pickles and a vinegary dish.
Do you like Suika? I like Suika very much!!! Suika in Ueki is very juicy, sweet, fresh, and very nice fruit. Suika in Ueki is most famous in Japan. I am and there are a lot of watermelon farmers in the acquaintance. They put love until the evening from early morning and raise the water melon. Because, I want to eat Suika in the future.
